TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
2 brass keys with round flat flaps, type Young-S for C-key; type Heyde-179/1 for Eb-key the keyhead being a mirror of the key touch.
SATB (springs attached to the body).
Raised key rings circular.
3rd + 4th hole doubled. Finger cove for 4th hole, not for 3rd.
2 large vent-holes in bell. The ivory bell mount - with mounting studs - makes an inner rim.

Remarks
Haynes (2001) p.79 mentions this instrument as an example of type-A1 hautboy, and assumes it is possibly French, late 17th century.
