Remarks
Most probably ebony according to Charles Indekeu.
According to Mahillon (R1978) p.235 this instrument is made in the 2nd half of the 18th century. It is not clear from the text if Mahillon's dating is a printing erratum. The last Van Heerde family member died c.1750.
